About the session

“You Have Enough Ideas to Destroy Your Company” – AI Change

From More Ideas to the Right Ideas: Product Strategy in an AI-First World

Jeff Bezos once told his longtime deputy Jeff Wilke that he could generate an almost unlimited number of ideas for Amazon. Wilke’s response, as recounted by Philip Marris, was blunt: “You have enough ideas to destroy Amazon.” Even one of the most idea-rich leaders in business history needed someone to tell him that ideation was never the constraint – execution capacity was.

That warning is more relevant today than when Wilke first gave it. AI has rewritten the economics of innovation. What used to take a quarter – a prototype, a proof of concept, a first customer test – can now happen in an afternoon. For product teams, this should feel like unlimited leverage. Instead, many are discovering the same problem Wilke flagged, just at a larger scale: when generating ideas becomes free, the constraint moves downstream – to prioritization, resourcing, and organizational capacity.

This talk argues that the central skill of product management in the AI era is no longer creativity or speed. It’s discipline – the ability to say what should be built, what should be killed, and what deserves the organization’s scarce attention and capital.

The case study draws on patterns seen working closely with companies navigating AI adoption – what consistently separates the ones that turn AI into durable advantage from the ones that generate impressive demos and little else.

What attendees will walk away with: a framework for evaluating AI opportunities based on strategic potential, not novelty or technical feasibility alone; a method for ruthlessly prioritizing – and killing – pilots and initiatives that won’t scale; a model for the handoff from experimentation to implementation, where most AI initiatives fail; principles for building organizational adoption; and a sharper mental model for the PM’s real job in an AI-first company.

What you will take away

  • Evaluate AI opportunities on strategic potential rather than novelty or technical feasibility alone.
  • Prioritize aggressively and stop pilots or initiatives that do not have a path to scale.
  • Manage the handoff from experimentation to implementation as a core product-management discipline.

About the speaker

About Ewa

Ewa Kozlowska is a global digital banking, payments, and product risk executive with over 12 years of experience helping large financial institutions turn AI initiatives into measurable business impact – not just working prototypes. As an appointed AI innovation lead within a major global banking business, she has partnered directly with technology and product teams to evaluate, pilot, and scale AI/ML use cases, building the governance and adoption frameworks that determine which ideas actually make it from experimentation to production.

Across her career – including leadership roles at Macquarie, Biz2Credit, Commerzbank, and HSBC – Ewa has built enterprise risk and product governance frameworks from the ground up, led supervisory engagements with the OCC, FRB, FINRA, SEC, CFTC, and CFPB, and directed the launch of digital asset and tokenized payment products from concept through regulatory approval and market deployment.

She holds a J.D./Masters of Law from Warsaw University, an LL.M. in International Business and Trade Law from Fordham, and an MBA from the joint program of London Business School, HEC Paris, the Norwegian School of Economics, and Warsaw University of Technology. She is a member of the New York State Bar and holds FINRA Series 7 and 79 licenses.

Why this session

Evidence from the work itself

Ewa’s session focuses on a new constraint created by AI: ideas and prototypes are easier to generate, while organizational attention, capital, and execution capacity remain scarce. The evidence-based question is therefore not how many ideas a team can create, but which ones deserve to survive.
